From its headquarters in Alcal\u00e1 de Henares, the company exports medicines worldwide and also manufactures products for multinational pharmaceutical companies. In this interview with <em>Redacci\u00f3n M\u00e9dica<\/em>, he outlines the three major challenges ahead: adapting to new changes (sustainability, artificial intelligence, legislation, etc.), continuing to develop products for patients, and maintaining competitiveness. He also emphasises the need to improve<a href=\"https:\/\/www.redaccionmedica.com\/secciones\/industria\/espana-mejora-en-disponibilidad-de-farmacos-pero-suma-22-meses-de-retraso-9120\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> access times to medicines<\/a> in Spain. For Garc\u00eda Navalmoral, this is an \u201carea for improvement\u201d, for which he puts forward specific proposals. He also highlights that leadership in R&amp;D must be complemented by improvements in the industrial base. \u201cIf we focus solely on innovation without a solid industrial foundation, in the long term, innovation could be at risk, and investment may decrease\u201d.
