Meiji Pharma Spain, S.A. and REFORESTA MADRID join forces for an environmental volunteering day.
On 7 November, we had the opportunity to collaborate with the NGO REFORESTA MADRID on an environmental volunteering day.
The purpose of this initiative was to assist in the reforestation of a rural area, as well as to raise environmental awareness and highlight the impact of our actions on the surrounding habitat.
Reforesta is a non-profit association founded in 1991 and recognised as a Public Interest organisation. It is dedicated to promoting sustainable development. Within this broad remit, and in line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda, the organisation places special emphasis on Sustainable Development Goals 13 (Climate Action) and 15 (Life on Land), prioritising vegetation restoration and combating desertification.
Its mission is to contribute to the fight against desertification by preventing the degradation of land and forests.
At Meiji Pharma Spain, sustainability is a core value. Our commitment goes beyond regulatory compliance and environmental expectations; it reflects our dedication to social and environmental responsibility. By adopting sustainable practices, we not only help preserve the planet, but also foster innovation and, most importantly, build a legacy that will endure over time. Sustainability is not merely a trend; it is a commitment that defines our identity and guides us towards a more conscious and equitable future.
We wish to express our gratitude to everyone who participated in this volunteering day. It was an activity full of energy, commitment, and teamwork.
Through this reforestation effort, we have made a significant contribution to the preservation of our environment and created a positive impact on the lives of those around us.
